Dr. Rachael Lyerla grew up in Edgerton, Wisconsin, and completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.She went on to work at Epic Systems Corporation as a project manager before deciding to pursue medical school. She completed her MD degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison and her ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St.Louis, Missouri. 

Dr. Lyerla enjoys eating new foods, traveling, getting outside, and reading historical fiction. She is excited to move back to Wisconsin with her husband (Dan), baby (Hugo), and bernedoodle (Tully). She is looking forward to exploring the Eau Claire region through its parks and picking up hobbies like cross country skiing.

Dr. Lyerla will be seeing patients in Eau Claire starting September 1, 2023
