Abigail Richie is originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She received her undergrad from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, and attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. 

Dr. Richie previously practiced in Minnesota and Illinois where she gained extensive experience in comprehensive eye care and medical optometry. She enjoys working with patients with ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes. 

“I love having the opportunity to connect with my patients by helping to improve their vision, and serve all of their eye care needs,” Dr. Richie says.  

A Memorial High graduate, Dr. Richie is excited to return to her roots in the Chippewa Valley. “After thirteen years of living in Minnesota and Illinois, I am thrilled to return home to Eau Claire and work for Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic,” she says. “CVEC puts their patients and staff first and I am beyond excited to join their team.”

Dr. Richie enjoys spending time with friends and family. Some of her hobbies include weightlifting, running and going on walks with her French bulldog, Rizzo. She’s also a loyal Packer fan.

Dr. Richie is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association.
